Viva Las Vegas 17 - part 6

The last night of Viva Las Vegas rolled around so quickly!  One more night of fun before The Orleans would stop playing rock'n'roll, the coffee shop would stop serving the 'Smooth Elvis', and the guests would not be wearing vintage.

On Sunday night I wore my 'anniversary dress' that Loverboy gave me as a gift on our second wedding anniversary, earlier this year...

Vintage velvet dress with bow detail from my sweetheart, my trusty lucite purse and Remix wedges.  There was just no way that I was going to wear heels on the last night!

Aaron wore a vintage fleck jacket and the coolest hula girl tie complete with appliqué fringe skirt!  He also wore his vintage 'A' tie bar that I got him for our second wedding anniversary.

I think everyone had the same idea on Sunday evening, as we all found ourselves congregating at the same place...last minute shopping!

This was day 3 of my hair set that Missy of Locks and Lashes and Technicolor Cutie styled for me.  It held up really well, right?!

Of course, we ran into the king and queen of vintage, and the absolute masters of vintage shopping, Laurence and Sylvain of Lost in the 50's...

Is it a ghost....?

...no, it's Laurence!  But where is Sylvain?

 Found him!

The Rhythm Shakers played on Sunday night, and they were one of my favourite bands that I saw all weekend.  I loved them!  Marlene, the singer has so much energy, and a fabulous voice.  They were just what I needed to perk me up when I was starting to feel a little tired!

Lovebirds taking in the show...

I was determined to stay up 'til the end, and make the most of the last few hours of dancing at the record hop...and that I did!  But, apart from having to wait a whole year for Viva to come around again, the worst part of VLV is having to say goodbye to your friends at the end...

Luckily, there were still quite a few people milling about on Monday.  Most people were checking out of the hotel and catching flights home.  We were mostly doing this....

It's a hard life, but someone has to do it...

You know you're in America when your chicken and waffles are piled so high that they obstruct your face...

Take two - Hash House A Go Go delivered on the giant portion sizes!

So that wraps up my Viva Las Vegas posts!  We have our room booked for VLV18, so I suppose I had better start outfit planning for next year...

  4. Your Viva posts were all so much fun! Glad I got to run into you one more time for Sunday evening shopping :) Looking forward to any Rockabilly Rave posts you may do! Camber Sands looks so much more inviting in June as opposed to November! Less than 6 months and we’ll be in London!!! We’ll know exactly which dates once the fixture list comes out. We’ll only be there for one weekend out of our stay so Ben has to make sure he can get a match in :)
