Dancehalls and 100 Club

We went along to London's iconic live music venue, The 100 Club to see Si Cranstoun and his band play a show last week.  Their fun and cheeky brand of swingy rhythm and blues never fails to fill the dance floor and get people smiling, so we were in for a great night.

I have seen Si Cranstoun play numerous times over the past couple of years (the last time being at Viva Las Vegas in April) and have written about those shows here, as you may recall.  Yet, I always thoroughly enjoy seeing him perform, because his boundless energy is so happifying, and his songs are just so darned catchy!

Si Cranstoun: The 100 Club edition, was one of my favourite times seeing him to date, as the venue is both great to watch the musicians and also great to dance in - and dance we did!  I hardly stopped all night, and even busted out a stroll, which, if you know me, you will know this is a rare occasion, as I hardly ever participate in strolling.  So rare is such a sighting, that Aaron documented this moment on camera...

I also got reprimanded by a random guy for dancing with my husband too much!  Sorry dude, but I like dancing with loverboy, and your little speech didn't make me want to dance with you.

Sweaty happy faces...

We danced, got sweaty, sang along with all the songs, chatted with friends, and then headed home.  Not bad for a Monday night.

I was totally buzzing after the show and for the rest of the next day.  I'm sure we will most likely see the Cranstounator again in the not-too-distant future, so until next time, Si, until next time...

  1. I'm always a little jealous when I see you going to Si Cranstoun shows. I know it's wrong but I do adore his music.

    You look fabulous (like always).

I'm a little miffed about that random guy.

  2. What a fun night! Love getting to see all of those photos inside the 100 Club! One of these times our annual trip will coincide with a gig there we want to see. I still cannot believe I haven't been there!

I got your back if that random guy appears at the Riot! Ha, ha...;-)

  3. Oh, now that's just plain creepy! What business is it of anyone else's who you want to dance with, especially when it's your darling husband? It takes all kinds, as my mother has always been fond of saying.

Speaking of our main squeezes, thank you deeply for your touchingly wonderful comment on our "behind the photography scenes" post. I'm a die hard romantic and get just what you mean. When I see bloggers speaking positively about their significant others, it really endures me to them and their site all the more (and course such rings true for you and your blog big time!!!).

Tons of hugs & happy Halloween Eve wishes!

    1. Well, exactly! Some people just have no idea of boundaries...

Of course, I meant every word of it - and I'd definitely like to see Tony included in more posts! :)

      Hugs back 'atcha! xxx

  4. Looks like you guys had a ton of fun! How rude of that guy to say that you were dancing to much with LoverBoy. Some people just don't know how to mind their business.

    1. We sure did! I really haven't danced that non-stop for quite a while, it was really fun and energizing!

That guy really should learn to mind his own business! Hahaha!

  5. Well, how dare you want to dance with your own husband!! Honestly! Like the pictures of the band. Am interested to know why you don't normally stroll?

    1. :) :) :) Hmmm, I usually don't stroll, as I much prefer to partner dance! I just find it so much more fun and rewarding finding a great synergy with a partner and getting spun around etc! I don't mind one song, but after that it can get a bit boring to me...
