The Corpse Bride and her Zombie Groom

Halloween already feels well and truly a distant memory, but I thought I would still share some photos from the spooky shenanigans at Rock'n'Roll Old School last weekend.

This year I went as the Corpse Bride (from the Tim Burton movie) and loverboy went as a truly terrifying zombie surgeon.

I found that a lot of people don't know who the Corpse Bride is, so here is a picture, for reference...

We got a couple of smiles and comments on our journey to get to the party, but it's funny how most people pay no attention, or look at you without batting an eyelid, as if they saw zombies and blue-faced creatures on public transport every day!  It's really quite amusing how unaffected strangers on the tube can be...

Once we arrived at the party, we ran into some other strange and wonderful characters...

Some of the attendees were so two-faced...

Some were not scary at all...

The joint was packed, the music was jumpin' and there was a whole lotta dancing going on!

As ever, the Big Kahuna put so much effort into making the evening fun, with decorations, prizes and trick or treat sweeties.

I pinched these photos from the Big Kahuna...I hope he doesn't mind...muahhahahhha...

At the end of the night, there Corpse Bride snuck away to catch the last tube home, before turning into a pumpkin...

Did you all have a fun Halloween?  What did you dress up as this year?

  1. So many fabulous costumes! You made the perfect Corpse Bride! In 2002 we were living there during Halloween and you are so right! I remember people not giving us a second look on the tube and bus as I was dressed as a vampire and Ben had a bullet hole affixed to his forehead. I figured they just thought I was Goth and Ben had a rough night ;-)

On another note…I can’t believe we’ll finally be at the Rhythm Riot next week!!!!! See you soon!!!!!

  2. You guys looked great! I had seen some of your pics on Instagram. Halloween is my favorite. I went as Scarlett O'Hara this year and hubby went as Shaun of the Dead. :-) Cheers!

  4. Wow!! Wow is all I can say about you and your friends' costumes! Totally brilliant! I love the two-faced bloke! That look is fantastic! This year I did not get to dress up. I got a new tattoo done earlier that day and later that evening, the husband and I went out for dinner. Next year, I am thinking of doing something along the lines of Judy Jetson or the mum from Lost in Space!

    1. Thanks Tara! Yes, our two-faced friend looked awesome - great make-up and a stylish outfit! I can imagine that right after getting a new tattoo is not the optimum time to get dressed up in costume and go out to party! You will just have to party extra hard next year! :)
