Making friends

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

After a super fun and crazy couple of weeks in the USA with loverboy, I'm back in London, and feeling sleepy...

I have so much blogging to catch-up on (not to mention photo-editing) that I don't even know where to begin.  We had a wonderful eight days in sunny Los Angeles, followed by an awesome eight days of non-stop partying in Las Vegas!  Now I'm back in chilly London with a serious case of the post-holiday blues.

I've seen that the Viva posts have already started popping up in the blogosphere, so I will probably get going with my version of events soon, too.  But for now, I wanted to share some pictures from one really enjoyable part of my trip - meeting lots of lovely bloggers in real life!

It's funny, because when you read someone's blog regularly, you almost feel as if you know them, so when you do eventually meet them in real life, it's like a cross between meeting a celebrity and an old friend!

I was really excited to meet Technicolor Cutie and Dollie aka The Rockabilly Socialite on the LA leg of my trip, at the Big Sandy show in Pomona....

I stole this pic from Technicolour Cutie, so you've probably already seen it on her blog!

....and then again in Vegas!

They are both real sweethearts with amazing style, and I'm so glad that I finally got to meet them!

I was also excited to meet the lady behind Haute Rockabilly Fashionista, especially as we had planned to co-ordinate our Saturday night outfits by both wearing green lurex!

I ran into HRF a few times over the course of the weekend, but often quite fleetingly, so next time I want to hang out more, as she is so lovely and has the most infectious smile!

I finally got to meet Temperamental Broad - and about time too, given how many mutual friends we have!

We only ran into each other a couple of times, but I can tell you, I had total hair-envy of this girl!  I hope we get to chat more next time!

I also met the lovely LaToya of Mid-Century Pink, but as she has already noted on her blog, we didn't take any pictures together....blogger fail *slaps wrist*.  I can assure you that she is just as much a sweetie in person as she is online!  She is relatively new to blogging, so if you haven't yet, then go check out her blog.

As if that wasn't enough fabulous bloggers, I also met Laurence, writer of Lost in the 50s whilst in LA, and then ran into her many times in Vegas where she introduced me to Sylvie who writes 365 Vintage days on the Fintage blog.  These two European ladies have the most enviable vintage wardrobes!  My goodness, so many amazing outfits!

Thank you ladies, for all being so friendly - it was really great to finally meet you all and become friends in person!!!

That's all for now, I'm off to snoooooooooooooze as jet-lag has gotten the better of me.....zzzzzz.....

    1. OMG, 365 Vintage Days -- those fish pants! LOVE finding new blogs! I also got to meet Laurence, but for only 5 minutes. :( It was so loud at the car show and Little Richard was about to go on. Wish I had more time with her.

    2. And I now realize that you were also at the Big Sandy pre-party in Pomona... A pity we did not have the opportunity of a chat then. Or in Vegas... Would have been really great.

  3. I said it before, but it bears repeating; I'm so sorry that we didn't get to hang out when you were in town!!! It looks like you were at no loss for fun things to do and cool bloggers with which to do them! Next time you're in town (or we're in London town) we need to hang out!

    1. I can't believe I didn't see you! It's crazy that I see everyone's pics from Vegas, and I'm like 'hang on a minute I was right there when they were!' and yet it's so easy to miss people! Next year we will have to co-ordinate better!

It was great meeting in person although there was not much time for a long discussion. So many nice people to meet and greet at Viva. See you at the Rave!
