London Town was steadily covered in a blanket of snow over the course of the weekend. Whist I hate the icy, slushy, slippery pavements that inevitably result from this, I do really enjoy the first couple of days of fluffy snowflakes which transform familiar surroundings into a bright, white twinkling landscape as far as the eye can see.
Loverboy and I went out for a walk around our local park on Sunday afternoon (throwing a few snowballs along the way!) and there were lots of people tobogganing down the hills and building snowmen.
One of the things I enjoy when it snows, is seeing adults and children alike, playing and having fun with smiley happy faces! Basically, grown-ups turn into goofy big-kids...
There's something quite romantic about bundling up and crunching through the snow, hand in hand...
...and there's also something rather romantic about getting home after a nice long walk out in the cold and snuggling up to watch tv in warm cozy clothes with a nice cuppa tea.

We had almost the same week-end! But we still have a lot of snow and flakes are still falling... I think I'm fed up with cold now, I want sun!!!!
ReplyDeleteI quite enjoyed the snow this time....but I agree, I'm ready for some sunshine and warm weather now!!!
DeleteI love seeing these photos! Honestly, as soon as Christmas is over, I forget that it's winter. This calls for a trip to our local mountains - there might be a little snow up there.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could forget it was winter - I am so ready for warmer climes! I feel so weighed down with hats, scarfs, heavy winter coat etc!
DeleteIs your hair redder?

It does look pretty red in these pics, huh?! The last time I dyed it was a couple of weeks before Christmas, and I chose more of a redder colour that time, but haven't done anything since then!
Deletehooray for snow!

DeleteI only enjoy the first day or so too, not the nearly falling over in the ice part after! I think I recognise the park from the photo by the railway line! :) xx

DeleteYou guys are so cute in the snow! It's been so fun seeing all you UK bloggers with snow photos, when it was happening here it was much warmer, but now it's freezing and we're getting our own snow. lol
