Following a two month hiatus, loverboy and I returned to Boppin' The Blues last Saturday, for a night of fun and dancing.
This monthly rockabilly club night is set in the heart of Camden - although, no longer at the Black Heart, but rather at Inverness Street's Bar Solo. Following a few tweaks, the new location was working out quite well, although it was just announced yesterday, that it will no longer be held there either (nooooooooooooooooooooo!)....and so the search for a new venue begins! I hope it doesn't take too long to find somewhere suitable, as Boppin' The Blues really is a fun night out.
There was a big turn-out on Saturday and if you looked across the room, it was like a sea of Hawaiiana, with a dance floor made up of swirling colourful prints.
Given the heatwave that we've been having here in London recently, it was perfectly fitting for everyone to don their finest tiki threads (although come rain or shine, I've been known to wear my Hawaiian dresses, whatever the weather!) and it certainly made for some vibrant photographs, as provided here, courtesy of the lovely Calamity Jane G.
I thought the music was particularly top notch this month, and happily danced my sweaty little tootsies off, all night! I have also been singing 'Don't Roll Those Bloodshot Eyes At Me' all week, as a result...

I love those bangles and your skirt! Oh that skirt.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The skirt was a great charity shop find, and my hubbie kindly took the waist in on it for me! :)
