Today is my one month wedding anniversary! Time flies when you are a loved-up newlywed....
In fact, the day itself flew by in a whirlwind of fun, happiness and romance. When people tell you that your wedding day will go by very quickly, you don't realise just how fast! Luckily we have lots of beautiful photos to remind us of all the wonderful moments we shared with our family and friends that day.
Looking at all of our photos, I am reminded of how glamorous everyone looked, and I have to say a huuuuuuuuuuuuge thank you to Pretty Me Vintage for making me feel like a million dollars!
Given that my husband and I have a penchant for all things 1940-50s, our wedding had a 50s rock n roll feel to it, and as the name suggests, Pretty Me Vintage specialises in vintage hair and makeup styling, so I knew that Natasha (the founder of the company) could transform me into a 50s bombshell for my big day!
With a portfolio ranging from weddings, hen parties, photo-shoots, media and corporate events, Pretty Me Vintage offers top quality styling, with attention to detail and great customer service.
Natasha came over to my house on the morning of my wedding, and styled my hair and makeup exactly as I wanted it....and 12 hours later, after a lot of eating, dancing, and romancing it was still going strong - so strong that my false eyelashes stayed securely glued on for a couple of days after the wedding! Now if only I could get my curls to make it through a night of dancing, like they did that night...

It's flippin' pancake day!
So, it’s that time of year again, when we are allowed – encouraged, even – to chow down on cakes, of the pan variety….
Happy pancake day!
This annual frying pan-fest, observed here in the UK, is more formally known as ‘Shrove Tuesday’. Traditionally, this is when you are supposed to eat your last big stodgy meal, using up the dairy, sugar and eggs in your kitchen before starting 40 days of lent the following day - ‘Ash Wednesday’. The actual date varies each year, depending on when Easter falls in the calendar.
I am still deciding on what kind of pancakes to eat tonight...last year I made some deeeeeeeeeelicious fluffy chocolate pancakes, but I may just go for the standard crepe style jobbie this time round, perhaps with sweet lemony cottage cheese, or apricot jam….decisions, decisions...
What type of pancakes are you eating today?

Happy Valentine's Day!
Today is the second Valentine's Day I am celebrating with my loverboy....although it is our first Valentine's spent in the same country, and indeed, our first as newlyweds!
Of course, I baked a cake (heart shaped, no less) for the occasion!
I believe that you should express your feelings to your loved-ones every day - as my husband always says, 'LOVE is an action word'....
....but for those who are a little less romantically inclined, take the time today to ignite your incendiary love....
Whether you are celebrating Valentine's Day or not...have a lovely day everyone! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
